The Ministry of Agriculture in Indonesia has assured that the country will have a safe and ample supply of sacrificial animals, including cows, buffalo, goats, and sheep, reaching 2.06 million heads for Eid al-Adha 2024. This figure represents a surplus of 88,000 heads compared to the national demand of 1.97 million. The government is prepared to redistribute surplus animals from abundant regions to areas with a deficit, and will enforce strict regulations to ensure animal health. The Minister of Agriculture, Andi Amran Sulaiman, inspected a large cattle farm in Tangerang as part of these preparations.
