The Russian Ministry of Agriculture has confirmed that the country's dairy enterprises have adequate supplies of bacterial starter cultures for production, despite reports of withdrawal of these products from the market by the major supplier, Hansen, a Danish company. The Ministry has assured that there are no supply issues and is actively promoting domestic production of food ingredients, including starter cultures. The ministry is also investing in the establishment of biofactories in the Yaroslavl and Moscow regions, which are expected to be completed by 2025.
