The National Food Safety Authority of Moldova has announced a green light for the export of fresh tomatoes to Israel, following requirements set by the Israel Plant Protection Service. These conditions include the tomatoes being grown in Moldova, grown with specific pest protection, and tested for the pest before shipment. Additionally, the exported tomatoes should be without leaves, plant debris, stems, and calyces. Exports must also be accompanied by a phytosanitary certificate and the Israeli importer must have a valid import permit.
