Xinjiang is experiencing melon and fruit season, with an increase in the export of seasonal fruits and vegetables to Central Asia and European countries. From January to June 2020, Khorgos Port exported 38,900 tons of fruits and vegetables, with the majority going to Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan. The export variety has expanded to over 10 types of nectarines, prunes, and onions. The export momentum continues to grow due to the advantages of local ports and strict quality control measures. The Horgos Jinyi International Trading Group controls the quality of fruits and vegetables and ensures safe and standard export quality. Local customs and border inspection have established a "green channel" for rapid customs clearance of agricultural and sideline products, ensuring priority inspection and release of fruit and vegetable vehicles and shortening transportation time.
