Morocco has seen a significant growth in its raspberry exports to the UK, reaching 5,700 tonnes in the first half of the 2023/24 season, more than doubling the previous season's volume. The country now leads as the main supplier of fresh raspberries to the UK, contributing to 50% of the country's imports, surpassing Spain. Raspberry sales have become the primary source of export revenues for Morocco's fruit market, generating $52 million in the first half of the current season. With the export period running from September to June and a peak from January to May, Morocco is on track to set new records. In 2024, the country ranked as the world's second-largest raspberry exporter, following Mexico, highlighting its strong position in the global market.
