Myanmar is preparing for the official export of avocados to China in the 2026/2027 production season. The country is working to meet China's requirements and is investigating pests and diseases in avocado orchards. Inspections of the orchards are planned for October, November, and December 2025, and a sanitary inspection and quarantine protocol will be signed after the inspection. Currently, avocados are primarily grown in southern and northern Shan State, northern Chin State, Pyin Oo Lwin District of Mandalay Province, and Sagaing Province. Exports were hindered by the epidemic and the unstable situation in Myanmar, but the country is now working to open up the international market.
