[Reporter Hong Lan of the Korea Farmers and Fishermen Newspaper] Reflecting on the opinions of the affected residents, the National Assembly's Special Committee on Forest Fire Damage Relief Measures, which was scheduled to end in 2025, has had its activities extended by three months. This measure is taken to complement the enforcement decree of the 'Special Act on Relief and Support for the Victims of the Extra-Large Forest Fires in Gyeongbuk, Gyeongnam, and Ulsan' and to continue to check for any support blind spots. At the last meeting of the Special Committee on Forest Fires held in 2025, the expansion of participation in damage relief and the Reconstruction Committee, as well as the need for financial and joint farming support, were also raised.
