The National Agrarian Health Service (Senasa) has updated import requirements for fertile chicken eggs and newborn chicks from Brazil, effective July 25, as per Directorial Resolution No. D000026-2024-Midagri-Senasa-DSA. This replaces the previous resolution and mandates a health export certificate from Brazil's animal health authority, detailing specific sanitary conditions. Imports cannot include food, concentrates, or bedding (except moisturizing gel) and must provide the farm's vaccination program details. Upon arrival in Peru, a 15-day quarantine in Senasa-authorized facilities is required. Non-compliance will result in the merchandise being reshipped to Brazil or confiscated.
