New Zealand's Plant & Food Research has introduced 11 new blueberry varieties to the country, including three home-bred and eight licensed from Fall Creek Farm & Nursery in the U.S. These varieties are designed for large-scale, export-oriented production and are known for their large, flavorful fruit and adaptability to New Zealand's conditions. Growers can apply for a non-exclusive license to cultivate and sell these varieties both domestically and internationally. Plant & Food Research expects these new varieties to boost the country's blueberry sector and increase export revenues.
