A severe outbreak of brucellosis, a disease transmitted from animals to humans, has been reported in the Belogorsk region of Crimea, affecting nine people and leading to the culling of 130 infected cows. The initial case was identified in a farmer in late December, and the source of the infection was traced back to animals brought in from another region. This marks the first outbreak of brucellosis in Crimea in the past 20 years. Authorities are conducting thorough investigations to prevent the spread of the infection.
