On April 26th, Livestock Economy, a branch of Nonghyup Economic Holdings, hosted a training for 92 farmers involved in the Korean Beef Root Farmers Development Project at the Buyeo Livestock Cooperative. The session focused on introducing the project, utilizing genome information for improvement, and teaching hair root extraction techniques. The initiative aims to conduct genome analysis on 2,000 Korean beef cattle from Hanwoo Root Farm No. 164 in Buyeo to enhance cancer treatment strategies. This effort is expected to not only improve the quality of Korean beef but also increase farm income by applying genetic data for more effective cancer management, with the farmers' active involvement laying the groundwork for these advancements.
