In November, Norway experienced a significant shift in its seafood export market, with the United States seeing a dramatic decrease in Norwegian king crab imports by 56% in value and 62% in quantity. Despite this setback, the industry rebounded with strong growth in other markets. Italy emerged as a promising market, with a 43% increase in imports of 10 tons, contributing to an 85% rise in value. Norway also noted a 40% increase in shrimp exports, amounting to 2,566 tons, with the United Kingdom, Sweden, and Denmark as the leading markets. Processed or peeled shrimp made up 67% of these exports, valued at 970,000 NOK. Furthermore, the export value of frozen cooked shrimp with skin to China surged by 242%, reaching 19 million NOK, indicating a strong demand in that market.
