Despite the depreciation of the Norwegian krone, seafood export earnings have not increased as expected due to rising costs and intensified competition in the global aquaculture industry. In November, Norway's seafood exports to China reached NOK 10 billion, with a total export value of NOK 160.4 billion for the first eleven months of the year, marking a 1.5% increase from the previous year. The exports were primarily driven by salmon, herring, and mackerel. The largest markets for Norwegian seafood were Poland, the United States, and the Netherlands, with the Netherlands experiencing a 17% increase in imports. Norwegian seafood was exported to 113 countries and regions, although five fewer were imported in November compared to the previous year.
