The most common price of domestic yellow melon in the second week of June was HUF 1,050, which was 31 percent higher than last year. Hungarian new potatoes (265 forints) could be bought 14 percent cheaper than last year. Potatoes without variety designation increased by 13 percent (to HUF 175), while potatoes from France were up 18 percent (HUF 250) more than in the same period in 2021. Depending on the size, domestically grown round tomatoes sold for 500 and 550 forints the most in the previous week, which was 43 and 53 percent higher than a year earlier, respectively. Cluster tomatoes with a berry diameter of 40–47 millimeters were sold for 725, while cocktail tomatoes with a size of more than 15 millimeters were sold for HUF 1,300, an increase of 48% and 13%, respectively, compared to last year.
