The suspension of dairy exports through Poland is negatively impacting Ukraine's dairy industry, as the country relied heavily on Poland as a consumer of its whey powder and condensed milk. Since the European Union canceled customs duties, Ukraine has been able to sell these products to other European countries such as the Baltic countries, Germany, the Netherlands, and Ireland. However, the Union of Dairy Enterprises of Ukraine is hopeful for a swift resolution to the issue and is currently advising companies to cease sending certain goods to the Ukrainian-Polish border checkpoints until further notice. Relevant consultations between Ukrainian and Polish ministries are ongoing to address the problem.
