The plants of the Ukrainian nitrogen holding OSTCHEM produced 1.57 million tons of mineral fertilizers in 2025, which is 12.7% less than in 2024 when 1.8 million tons were produced, the company's press service reported. Thus, Cherkasy "Azot" produced 1.017 million tons of mineral fertilizers in 2025, and "Rivneazot" produced 554.3 thousand tons. Compared to 2024, the production of ammonium nitrate decreased by 11.6% (672.4 thousand tons), carbamide by 42.3% (232.03 thousand tons), and ammonia by 18.0% (61.47 thousand tons). At the same time, the production of KAS increased by 6.4% (539.17 thousand tons). As noted, the main factors that continued to constrain production in 2025 were the high cost of energy resources, unstable power supply, war risks, a decrease in solvent demand from farmers, and ongoing import pressure.
