The main fish species caught include walleye pollock, Pacific herring, cod, and Far Eastern flounders. While there has been a decline in the catch of cod and other species, there has been a positive trend in the catch of pollock, Pacific herring, and greenlings. Crab fishing has also seen a slight increase, with a total catch of 22,390 tons, consistent with 2021 levels. The catch includes various crab species in different subzones, with some subzones showing an increase in catch while others remain stable.
