Italian experts have been providing technical and professional support to the olive grove and olive oil sector in Pakistan for over a decade, leading to aspirations of exporting 80% of the production. More than 5.6 million olive plants have been planted in the last decade, with 8% of them at the fruiting stage, and this initiative is expected to have a positive impact on wildlife, flora, and climate change while also providing a sustainable business opportunity for farmers. Unlike other climate change initiatives, planting olive trees in Pakistan creates both an ecological and economic benefit for the country.
