Paraguay has emerged as the leading supplier of imported beef to Chile from January to October 2024, with imports reaching 96,619 tons, a slight increase of 0.9% from the previous year, according to Chile's Office of Agricultural Studies and Policies (Odepa). This resulted in total imported value of US$ 524,986 thousand and an average price of US$ 5,434 per ton, marking a 1.1% increase in price. Brazil followed in second place with imports of 82,435 tons, valued at US$ 416,370 thousand, showing a 4.1% increase in volume but a slight decrease in average price per ton.
