Researcher Roberto Flores was officially sworn in as the general manager of Embrapa Pesca e Aquicultura (Palmas-TO) this Friday, April 10. The ceremony took place in the auditorium of the Legislative Assembly of Tocantins, lasted about 2 hours, and featured technical speeches, projections, demands, and a strong emotional component. Representatives from different productive sectors, municipal, state, and federal political actors, employees of the institution itself, and other partners were present. Roberto, who has been an employee of Embrapa Pesca e Aquicultura since February 2011, recalled moments from his career since he was called to work in Tocantins from São Paulo. In particular, his experience with his doctorate at Purdue University in the United States, achieved through a process that Embrapa maintains to encourage the postgraduate education of its employees at different levels.
