From January to August of this year, Peru experienced a notable increase in passion fruit juice exports, with a total of 15,885,123 kilos exported, valued at US $ 39,541,646, marking a significant rise from the same period in 2019 when 12,210,879 kilos were exported for US $ 33,348,182. The Netherlands emerged as the primary destination for these exports, accounting for US $ 25,574,826, closely followed by the United States with US $ 5,596,637. Other countries including France, Puerto Rico, Belgium, and Chile also contributed to the demand, with a combined total of US $ 2,291,842. Some of the leading companies responsible for these exports were Quicornac SAC, Frutos Tongorrape SA, Selva Industrial SA, Agroindustrias AIB SA, and Corporación José R. Lindley SA.
