As of March 11, 2024, pepper prices remained steady globally. In Indonesia, Lampung black pepper was priced at 3,992 USD/ton and Muntok white pepper at 6,179 USD/ton. Malaysia's Kuching ASTA black and white peppers were at 4,900 and 7,300 USD/ton respectively. Brazil's ASTA 570 black pepper was at 4,400 USD/ton. In Vietnam, black pepper grades 500 and 550 g/l were at 4,100 and 4,200 USD/ton respectively, and white pepper at 5,900 USD/ton. The domestic market in Vietnam remained stable with the highest level being 95,000 VND/kg. The global pepper market is expected to remain vibrant due to a supply decrease from Vietnam and other major countries, leading to a global market deficit.
