Peru begins a new season of blueberry exports in a context of high quality standards and competitiveness. According to the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (Midagri), in 2024 approximately 326,000 tons of blueberries were exported, reaching a value of $2,270 million, which consolidated the country as the world's leading exporter of this fruit. In the first two months of 2025, the Midagri notes that the product represented 9.7% of the total Peruvian agro-exports, which demonstrates its strategic weight within the national agricultural sector. The main destinations for Peruvian blueberries are the United States, the Netherlands, and Hong Kong, markets that demand high-quality fruits, with traceability, safety, and a prolonged shelf life.
