In the first quarter of 2024, Peru experienced a remarkable surge in its fresh dragon fruit exports, with a 178% increase in volume and a 287% increase in value compared to the previous year. The country exported 138 tons of dragon fruit, valued at $392,391. Spain and the Netherlands emerged as the primary markets, absorbing 53.9% and 42.0% of the exports, respectively. Camposol S.A. was the leading exporting company, accounting for 45.2% of the market share. This significant growth reflects Peru's increased productive capacity and the growing global demand for its dragon fruit.
