Between January and April of 2023, Peru experienced a decrease in wheat imports, importing 575,985,436 kilos at a CIF value of US$ 235,270,546, a decrease from the same period in 2022 which saw 715,059,712 kilos imported for US$ 270,982,840. Canada was the primary supplier, accounting for 78% of total shipments, followed by Argentina, the United States, and the United Kingdom. The main importers in Peru were Alicorp SAA, Corporación ADC SAC, and Compañía Molinera del Centro SA, among other companies.
