The Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation in Peru announced that the National Agrarian Health Service has planned 13 new accesses to international markets for Peruvian agricultural products in 2024, including 10 fruits to eight destination markets. The General Director of Plant Health, Orlando Dolores, stated that the initiative to promote new trade agreements comes from both the government and the private sector, with the Ministry of Agrarian Development and the Chancellery working together on a work plan. The main difficulties faced in the process have been due to the pandemic, but efforts are being made to accelerate the access processes through bilateral meetings and agreements with countries such as Chile, China, and Japan.
