The National Service of Agrarian Health (Senasa) reported that Peru has achieved a new milestone in the diversification of its agricultural and livestock exports by completing the first shipment of 25 tons of marinated turkey to Panama, a strategic market with over 4 million consumers. This achievement marks a firm step in the process of reopening and commercial expansion of the Peruvian poultry sector. Senasa inspected the 25-ton shipment of marinated turkey produced in Chincha, Ica region. This first shipment was made possible thanks to the commitment of the national poultry sector, which has maintained high standards of food safety and animal health, fundamental for restoring the confidence of international markets. The operation was managed by an export-authorized poultry company, whose facilities and processes were verified and inspected by Senasa, the entity that guaranteed strict compliance with the zoosanitary protocols required by Panama.
