Peru's Minister of Agrarian Development and Irrigation, Angel Manero, represented the country at the World Food Forum in Rome, highlighting Peru's leading roles in key agricultural sectors like organic high-altitude avocado, native potato, quinoa, and South American camelids. Manero presented investment plans for these sectors at the Hand in Hand Initiative Investment Forum and on the occasion of 'World Food Day'. Emphasis was placed on the potential of high altitude avocado cultivation for organic certification and the benefits for small producers, Peru's status as a global quinoa leader, and the promotion of eight major irrigation projects across six regions to enhance farming support.
