Peru will host the 2025 edition of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO)'s World Pulses Day. The event, scheduled for February 2025, aims to promote the cultivation, consumption, and benefits of pulses. The Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation, along with FAO and other institutions, will organize conferences, exhibitions, and cultural activities to strengthen the exchange of knowledge in agriculture, nutrition, and sustainable development. The Ministry also aims to increase the production and consumption of legumes in Peru, benefiting over 140,000 families who engage in their production.
