(Agraria.pe) Peruvian turkey meat exports totaled US$ 2,196,000 between January and October of this year, reported the Agroexport Management of the Association of Exporters (ADEX). It detailed that, in the first ten months of this year, shipments of baby turkey (commercially known as pavita) reached US$ 2,126,000, accounting for 96.8% of the total; while shipments of whole turkey amounted to US$ 69,441,000. These products were moved from Lima and transported mainly by air (US$ 2,126,000), but also by sea (US$ 69,441). It should be remembered that in previous years, international buyers required turkey breast and leg ham. With a participation of 90.2%, Ecuador led the ranking with US$ 1,981,000, registering a contraction of -31.5% compared to the same period of the previous year.
