Record harvests, collapsing prices, and persistent phytosanitary barriers – the Polish potato market has found itself in one of the most difficult moments in recent years. Although official data shows a clear decline in the occurrence of ring rot, in practice the disease continues to impact trade and export. As it emerges from the responses of the Ministry of Agriculture, PIORiN, and the industry – the problem is complex and directly affects the profitability of production.
