The Polish Chamber of Honey Association and the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Science and Technology Centre have entered into a partnership to establish an industry standard for honey quality, aiming to combat counterfeits and confirm authenticity. This collaboration will create an innovative EnFoodLife cluster and Poland's most advanced honey testing laboratory, equipped to compete with leading European centres. The focus will be on detecting adulterations, verifying sugar content and origin, and analyzing for pesticides to ensure honey safety and quality. The partnership aims to enhance the competitiveness of the Polish honey processing industry and establish a voluntary industry standard to guide honey sellers towards superior quality and transparency, benefiting consumers both locally and internationally.
