In 2025, Piura achieved a production of 298,308 tons of grapes, consolidating itself as the second grape-producing region at the national level, after Ica. This result corresponds to the harvest of 9,099 hectares, with an average yield of 32,784.7 kilograms per hectare, reported the Regional Directorate of Agriculture of Piura (DRAP), through its Statistics Office. These figures reflect the relevance of this crop in the regional productive structure, with an average farm price of S/3.57 per kilogram, which demonstrates its economic importance for producers. In the commercial sphere, the Statistics Office of the DRAP specified that during the month of December 2025, the Piura region registered exports of fresh grapes of more than 17,000 tons, consolidating itself as one of the agricultural products with the greatest presence in international markets during that period.
