The Port of Antonina has successfully completed its first bulk sugar export, sending 16,000 tons of VHP sugar to Venezuela. The loading productivity achieved during the operation exceeded expectations, with 457 tons per hour and approximately 11,000 tons per day. Brazil is expected to regain its position as the largest global sugar producer due to its ability to adjust the production mix between sugar and ethanol, and the country has a bilateral agreement with Venezuela for sugar exports.
