In the first half of 2024, the Rostov region's ports saw an 8% increase in grain exports, totaling 2.6 million tons compared to the same period in 2023. Wheat was the primary export, with shipments rising by 32% to 1.8 million tons, followed by corn and peas at 625 thousand tons and 134 thousand tons, respectively. Key export destinations included Turkey, Greece, Albania, Egypt, Italy, Georgia, Israel, and Cyprus, with Turkey importing a record 2.5 million tons. Exports to Albania and Georgia also saw significant growth.
