The price of cardamom has increased by threefold this season, reaching the highest level in the past four years, bringing happiness to farmers. This increase is attributed to the lack of supply to meet international demand, leading to a price of Rs 85,000 per quintal compared to Rs 28,000 last year. Despite a decrease in cardamom plantations, production and productivity have increased, with 1,325 metric tons produced in the district, representing a 7.96 percent increase from the previous year.
