The latest information from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development shows that in August, enterprises exported 21,000 tons of pepper, earning 126.8 million USD. Cumulatively by the end of August 2025, the country has exported 165,700 tons of various types of pepper, with a value of 1.12 billion USD. Compared to the same period last year, the amount of exported pepper decreased by 9.8% but the value increased by 26.9%. The average export price of this "black gold" pepper in the first eight months of 2025 is estimated at 6,739.7 USD/ton, a sharp increase of 40.7% compared to the same period in 2024. The United States, Germany, and India are Vietnam's three largest pepper markets, accounting for market shares of 25.1%, 8.3%, and 6.6%, respectively.
