A new triangular cooperation project, funded by the European Union's Adelante 2 Fund, will support avocado and coffee producers in Costa Rica and Colombia by promoting sustainable agriculture through the use of bioinputs and reducing agrochemicals. Led by Costa Rica's National Center for Biotechnological Innovations, the project aims to strengthen the health of soil and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by examining the benefits of bioinputs. The project will also focus on technology transfer capabilities in sustainable agricultural production systems. The initiative will be launched with a workshop in July and will include a workshop in Colombia to exchange best practices and analyze bioinputs.
