The Handon Future Research Institute is set to launch five key projects this year, with a focus on enhancing the value and perception of the hand pork industry. The initiative will encompass strategies for upgrading hand pork, improving distribution and quality to cater to consumer preferences, and establishing a high-end strategy for Korean pork. Additionally, the institute will establish knowledge sharing centers, develop strategies for a sustainable handon industry, and prepare for future industries and diseases. The institute also plans to investigate domestic and international trends, with a focus on carbon neutrality and alternative food sectors, in collaboration with livestock producers’ organizations and the Korean Pork Association.
