In the first half of 2022, Peruvian pumpkin exports saw a significant decrease of 64% in volume and 68% in value compared to the same period in 2021, totaling 1,690 tons worth US$786 thousand. The average price also fell by 2% to US$0.46 per kilogram. The majority of these exports, over 70%, were shipped to Spain, with Novoliz S.A. being the leading exporter. Although exports to Italy saw a slight increase, the price per kilogram was 11% lower than in 2021 at US$0.50. Overall, Novoliz S.A. was the only Peruvian company to contribute to these exports.
