This year, the cost of purchasing kimchi ingredients through Garak Market is estimated to be around 262,700 won for 20 heads of cabbage, according to a survey, while the cost of kimchi using government and distributor discount events is predicted to be 201,000 won. The Seoul Metropolitan Agricultural Products Corporation (President Moon Young-pyo) surveyed the cost of kimchi ingredients for a family of four (20 fresh heads of cabbage) and found that it would cost approximately 262,700 won, including 107,500 won for cabbage and 29,000 won for dabalmu. The survey was conducted on 72 stores within Garak Market (Garak Mall) on November 10 and covered 12 major kimchi ingredients.
