The province of Quảng Ninh is implementing a project to plant and intensively cultivate na trees according to VietGAP standards to enhance productivity, product quality, and economic value for farmers.

Pursuant to Decision No. 2319/QĐ-BNN-KHCN dated July 12, 2024, of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (now the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment), from 2025, the Quang Ninh Province Agricultural Extension Center will implement the project "Building a model for planting and intensively cultivating new na trees according to VietGAP standards" with a scale of 8 hectares in Dam Ha commune. This is one of the strategic steps to enhance production efficiency, product quality, and expand the market for na fruit consumption. Na trees currently cover an area of over 1,220 hectares, one of the three main fruit trees in Quang Ninh. The average yield is over 12 tons/ha, with an annual output of about 14,000 tons. The implementation of the na tree cultivation model according to VietGAP standards aims not only to increase yield but also to improve product quality, meet the growing market demand, and lay the groundwork for future exports.
