From March 6, 2023, an analysis of Russian railway transportation data reveals a 5.81% decrease in barley transportation, totaling 207.98 thousand MT. The internal railway traffic within Russia reached 127.14 thousand MT, with a distribution of 61.1% for internal movement, 37.9% for export, and 1.0% for import. The Central Federal District led in shipments, while the Volga Federal District was the main exporter. Far Abroad was the leading importer of Russian barley, with significant increases in total railroad deliveries and transit of barley through Russia since the beginning of the year.
