The Piccoli Frutti Observatory has reported on the current state of the small fruit market in Piacenza, finding varied prices and quality across different retailers and brands. The report indicates low prices for blackberries, blueberries, and strawberries, with raspberries being more expensive. Quality standards were found to be low overall, except for strawberries. The assortment and range of these fruits in 18 out of 19 stores inspected ranged from one to six items, with an average of 3.3 items per store, and 89% of these stores carried raspberries. The report also highlighted that 52% of blueberry products are sold in 125 gram packages.
