Raw milk prices in Ukraine have dropped by 13-17 kopecks due to weak domestic and foreign demand for dairy products, followed by a decrease in European milk prices. The average price of extra grade milk is now UAH 12.01/kg without VAT, a 17 kopecks decrease from March. This is due to Ukrainian producers adapting to market realities and a decrease in global demand for dairy products. The situation is further complicated by the war in Ukraine, which has led to an increase in production costs and a decrease in agricultural land suitable for feed production. Additionally, the conflict has resulted in over 800,000 hectares of agricultural land needing demining in regions such as Kherson, Mykolaiv, and Kharkiv.
