U.S. red meat exports had a strong end to the first quarter, with March seeing record-breaking exports of beef and pork. Beef exports reached the highest monthly value on record at $801.9 million, with significant exports to China, Honduras, and the Philippines. Pork exports also set a new value record at $794.9 million, driven by strong performances in Japan, Mexico, and the Philippines. Despite challenges, the U.S. Meat Export Federation remains optimistic, citing improvements in the export situation and strong global demand for U.S. red meat.
