The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism reported that exports of goods from the interior regions of Peru (excluding Lima and Callao) increased by 18.7% in the period from January to September 2025, surpassing $53 billion. This result exceeds the growth recorded by Lima and Callao (+10.3%) by eight percentage points, consolidating the prominence of the regions in the dynamics of the export sector. In total, 19 interior regions increased their exports, highlighting the advances of Huánuco (+141%), San Martín (+107%), Amazonas (+65%), Cajamarca (+64%), and Junín (+59%), thanks to greater international demand for minerals, coffee, cocoa, and fruits.
