Resources for catching smelt and char were distributed in the Sakhalin region of Russia

It has been determined: in mid-April they will begin to catch smelt and char in the East Sakhalin subzone and the South Kuril zone, and the finish line will come at the same time - November 30. Fishing for Asian smelt and char in Western Sakhalin, North Sea of Okhotsk and Primorye subzones will begin later: from May 1 and will also last until November 30. The commission also identified measures to eliminate the negative impact on smelt stocks from industrial fishing and its production by indigenous peoples of the north of Sakhalin.
