An inspection certificate from EIC/EIAs is now only required for exports to the EU, UK, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Switzerland. Other European countries are exempt for six months. New rules also align feather and skin export policies with EU and UK regulations. New Delhi: India on Friday said that the requirement for a certificate of inspection from Export Inspection Council (EIC)/Export Inspection Agencies (EIAs) for rice exports is limited to the EU, UK, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland. “Exports to other European countries are exempt from this requirement for six months,” the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) said in a notification.
