The rice market in Vietnam remained stable on December 5, with high prices and limited supply contributing to a slow flow of transactions. The government of Vinh Phuc is planning to expand the cultivation area of wide-row and narrow-row rice, a method introduced by engineer Chu Van Tiep and Professor Tran Duy Quy, which has been shown to reduce seed and planting costs, increase yield by 10-15%, and control pests and diseases effectively. However, the export market saw a slight decrease in prices for certain rice types.
